Pre-registration is not required. Simply drop-in at one of the times listed below:
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2021
1:00 - 3:00 pm
4:00 - 6:00 pm
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2021
4:00 - 6:00 pm
2. The Self-Guided Path
DECEMBER 17 - JANUARY 2, 2022
The self-guided Christmas Path can be enjoyed at your convenience from December 17, 2021 through January 2, 2022. The path is marked out on the grounds of Okotoks Alliance Church, starting on the north end of the parking lot. The path is very uneven so please wear appropriate footwear.
TIPS FOR THE SELF-GUIDED PATH
-
Use the OAC App, this Christmas Path website, or read the Christmas Path Script as your guide.
-
View the introduction video before beginning the path.
-
Enjoy the song videos while you walk. Each station will end with a carol that you listen to as you walk to the next station.
-
The stations are marked by life-sized silhouettes of the characters.
-
When leaving the fourth station (the Angels), you will be back at the parking lot, and can enjoy the concluding message in your car or on the drive home. The final song is "Go Tell it on the Mountain" -- a fun song to sing and enjoy as you head out.
3. The Christmas Path At Home
You can also choose to act, read and sing at home using the Christmas Path Script.
TIPS FOR AT HOME
-
Plan ahead. Print a copy of the script or pick a copy up from the church office.
-
Get everyone involved. You may decide to act out one or more scenes.
-
Gather your resources. Try using a nativity set to act out the characters or stuffed toys/dolls.
-
Assign verses. Read the scriptures instead of watching the video and listening to the readers.
-
Join in with the action. The lyrics are printed in the script and are also displayed on the song videos so that you can sing or hum along with the vocalists karaoke style.
